SSA completes hat-trick of awards

The Sindh Squash Association for the third year running won the Pride of Performance trophy announced by the Pakistan Squash Federation for its outstanding contribution to the game.
Established seven years ago, the award is given at the PSF annual general meeting in recognition of the services of a provincial association for the development and promotion of the sport.
The PSF annual general meeting was held at Islamabad under the chair of Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of the Air Staff and President Pakistan Squash Federation on Friday. Qamar awarded the trophy to SSA secretary Engineer Tahir Khanzada who personally accepted the award on behalf of the SSA from the PSF chief. 
The Sindh Squash Association had won the award in 2008 and 2009 and it completed a hat-trick this year. 
The Sindh Squash Association has obtained 115 points and the runner-up Punjab Squash Association obtained 96 points, KPK obtained 44 points. 
Tahir Khanzada said that it was great achievement for the SSA which have succeeded in winning the honor without having an independent squash complex facility. The SSA was working all out for the promotion of squash in the province of Sindh, he said. 
He also spoke about the support that squash legend former world champion Jahangir Khan had provided from time to time. He also praised Navy for providing training and events facilities to the SSA.
